CHEESE
But we also suggest you to taste the local cheese directly on the producer’s farm or at our restaurant !
Six cheeses of the Loire Valley have the protected AOC status. They go quite well with local wines, and all of them are goat cheeses.
Valencay, Sainte Maure de Touraine, Crotin de Chavignol, Chabichou, Selles sur Cher, Pouligny Saint Pierre – name of the villages.

The nearest village  is :

Saint Maure de Touraine – 25 km from the Chateau d’Artigny
Regarding cheeses, the star is the ‘Sainte Maure de Touraine’, a goat cheese to taste with a ‘fouace rabelaisienne’, a small brioche baked with honey and spices.
