From Saturday, December 3, 2022 to Monday, January 2, 2023, it’s “Christmas in the land of châteaux” in Touraine.
Chateaux of Amboise, Azay-le-Rideau, Chenonceau, Chinon, Langeais, Loches and Villandry, seven of the Loire Valley’s greatest castles will be celebrating the spirit of the holiday season with exceptional tours and activities.

30 minutes drive from hotel Chateau d’Artigny
Early beloved home of Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medicis, Chenonceau is the second most visited castle in France, after Versailles. Its arches gracefully straddle the Cher.

It was built into its modern form in the early 16th century under the rule of François I and with the influence of Leonardo da Vinci.The year 2019 will be marked by the half-millennium of the outset of construction.

Château de Villandry 20 minutes drive from hotel Chateau d’Artigny

The beautifully furnished, elegant 16th century chateau towers over the gardens. This famous plant mosaic was recreated in the early 20th century based on the Renaissance model.

Château d’Azay le Rideau 20 minutes drive from hotel Chateau d’Artigny

It was built on an island in the Indre River during the reign of Francis I. A subtle blend of French tradition and innovative Italian decor, it is an icon of the new art of building in the Loire Valley in the 16th century. Balzac even called it the “Diamond of the Indre.”

Fortress of the black Falcon – Montbazon – 2 km from the Chateau d’Artigny

The oldest fortress of the ruthless count of Anjou, Foulques Nerra, has towered over the old town of Montbazon for over a thousand years.
